What this tool reads
Audio Metadata Viewer inspects your file's container and streams directly (via ffprobe) and reports duration, container format, overall bitrate, plus video details (codec, resolution, frame rate) and/or audio details (codec, channels, sample rate) — without altering the file at all.
Why this matters
Knowing the exact codec, resolution and bitrate helps you decide whether a file needs compressing, converting, or is already suitable for where you want to use it.
Limitations
Uploads are capped in size for reliable processing, and only MP3, WAV, AAC files are accepted here. For very large files or advanced editing needs, dedicated desktop software may work better.

Does this tool change my file?
No — it only reads and reports information; your file is not modified, and the upload is deleted right after the report is generated.
What if a field shows as missing?
Some containers don't include every field (e.g. an audio-only file has no video codec) — those show as not applicable rather than an error.
